Description
How it works
Your CCTV sends an alarm to the monitoring centre. Operators check the images and follow the response plan agreed for your property.
- Detection and alarm filtering. A configured camera event or supported live-stream analytics identifies activity. AI filtering helps reduce unwanted alarms before operator review.
- Visual verification. An operator reviews the available camera images to assess what is happening and whether intervention is needed.
- Audio warning. Where compatible speakers and audio integration are installed and enabled, the operator can issue a spoken warning to deter an intruder.
- Security response and police contact. The operator follows your agreed escalation plan, contacting nominated keyholders, an arranged mobile response service or the police where appropriate. These actions depend on the incident; they are not a compulsory sequence in every case.
- SMS notification. Nominated site contacts receive an incident alert and can contact the 24-hour control room for further information.
- Detailed email report. After the incident is resolved, a report is sent to the client and installer, recording operator actions, time-stamped images and the outcome.
Monitoring is event-based during your agreed monitoring hours. Operators do not continuously watch every camera. Police attendance and response times cannot be guaranteed.
What’s included?
24-hour monitoring centre and visual verification
Our CCTV monitoring service gives you access to a 24-hour control room, with incoming alarm events reviewed under your site’s monitoring schedule and response instructions. The service supports residential, commercial and construction sites, subject to assessment.
AI-assisted alarm filtering
AI-assisted filtering helps distinguish genuine security events from unwanted alerts, so operators can focus on incidents that need attention. Supported analytics include Umbo, Actuate and Calipsa. We select the appropriate integration for your equipment and site.
Audio intervention where supported
Operators can deliver a spoken warning through compatible on-site audio equipment. A camera alone does not necessarily provide this function; speakers, connectivity and integration must be checked first.
SMS alerts and incident reports
Incident SMS alerts go to your nominated site contacts. The follow-up email report includes the operator’s actions, time-stamped images and incident outcome, and is shared with the client and security installer.
Mobile app access
Nominated users can view connected cameras through the Immix mobile app, subject to their permissions and device compatibility. We agree the users and access during onboarding.
System-health monitoring
The service includes supported health checks and fault reporting through the Immix platform. Available checks and their frequency depend on your equipment and integration; we confirm the supported functions before activation.
Keeping your CCTV operational
Our service offers 24/7 remote system-health monitoring with automated fault notifications, subject to equipment compatibility. These checks identify issues for investigation; they do not replace physical servicing or repairs.
- System connection: identify supported connection failures.
- Camera failure: flag cameras that stop reporting correctly.
- Disk recording: check supported recording and disk status.
- Recording duration: check available footage retention information.
- Time accuracy: identify supported clock or timestamp issues.
- Image integrity: flag supported image-quality or camera-view problems.
WEBHAYER reviews reported technical issues and advises on the next step. Remote configuration, engineer visits, replacement parts and repairs are assessed and quoted separately where required.
Open or closed boundaries?
Open boundary: public access is expected
Examples include pub car parks and vehicle sales forecourts, where people may legitimately enter outside business hours. Operators need more context and assessment time to distinguish normal activity from an intruder.
Closed boundary: access is not expected
Examples include private homes and secured commercial premises where public or pedestrian access is not expected during the monitored period. Unauthorised activity is usually easier to identify.
Tell us how your site is used, its opening hours and any legitimate out-of-hours activity. We confirm the site classification, monitoring arrangements and applicable price before activation.
Optional mobile security response
We can arrange a mobile response service with SIA-licensed security officers attending in marked vehicles, subject to local coverage and the agreed response arrangements.
Mobile response and guard callout charges are not included in the displayed camera-monitoring price. Availability, dispatch instructions and charges must be confirmed separately before this option is added.
Police contact is a separate escalation action where appropriate. A call to police does not guarantee attendance or a particular arrival time.
System requirements and compatibility
We check the exact equipment, camera views, detection zones, monitoring hours and site boundaries before activation. Keyholder contacts, app permissions, audio capability and any additional response services are recorded in your site-specific response plan.
Which systems can be connected?
Our monitoring platform supports a wide range of security systems, including Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Avigilon, LILIN, MOBOTIX, Hanwha, Videocon, Panasonic, Videofied, Uniview, Honeywell, AJAX and Reconeyez. This includes different security technologies; it does not mean that every camera or recorder from each brand supports every CCTV function.
We confirm your exact model, firmware and integration before accepting the system. Existing installations by other companies can be assessed.
What does my site need?
Reliable power and internet, suitable camera positioning and detection settings, a supported recorder or camera integration, authorised remote access and up-to-date contact details. Audio warnings require compatible audio equipment. Backup power or connectivity can be assessed separately.
Monitoring platform and location
WEBHAYER provides CCTV monitoring for residential, commercial and construction sites, combining professional alarm handling, incident reporting and technical support.
Immix platform and UK hosting
Our service uses Immix to manage alarm events, connected video, operator actions and reporting, with cloud systems hosted on UK-based servers. Alarm events are handled by a monitoring centre in South Africa. We confirm remote-access permissions and data-processing arrangements before activation.
Frequently asked questions
How does the contract work?
You pay monthly under a 12-month contract. Select your system size and how many cameras should be monitored to see the monthly price and 12-month total. The remaining cameras are view only and do not generate monitored alarm events. The displayed prices are total customer prices. Your site assessment, any separately quoted work, cancellation and renewal arrangements are confirmed before activation.
Is this just a health-check subscription?
No. This service includes operator review of security alarm events and the agreed response process, alongside supported system-health monitoring. A standalone device-health subscription focuses on equipment faults rather than responding to intruders.
Are all monitoring features available on every system?
No. Audio intervention, analytics, app access and individual health checks depend on compatible equipment and configuration. We confirm the functions enabled at your site in your agreed service specification.
What happens if internet or power is lost?
Loss of power or connectivity can prevent alarms and images reaching the monitoring centre. Supported fault reporting can help identify a connection problem, but cannot maintain video access through an outage.
Are cloud recording, repairs or guard visits included?
Cloud video storage, physical servicing, replacement parts, repairs and mobile guard attendance are not included in the displayed monitoring price. Any additional services or work are agreed separately.
