Systems and common faults

Maintenance covers the event log, power supply, battery, zones, tampers, sounders, communicator and a practical set/unset test.

We work with Premier Elite, Premier Compact, Veritas and older Premier control panels. Typical call-outs include:

  • Intermittent zone or tamper events
  • Standby battery and bell-box warnings
  • SmartCom, app or signalling interruptions

Parts, apps and future support

Premier Elite ranges remain well supported, while parts for older Veritas and Premier generations must be matched carefully to the panel and firmware.

For compatible Premier Elite systems we can include Texecom Connect and SmartCom communication checks.

Repair or modernise?

Regular maintenance is appropriate for a reliable, compatible system. Modernisation becomes sensible when legacy expanders or keypads are no longer replaceable or remote management is a priority.

Texecom Maintenance FAQs

Which Texecom panels do you work with?

We support Premier Elite, Premier Compact, Veritas and older Premier control panels. Send a photo of the keypad or panel label if you are unsure which model is installed.

What do common Texecom fault messages mean?

Messages can point to intermittent zone or tamper events, standby battery and bell-box warnings, SmartCom, app or signalling interruptions. The displayed warning is a starting point; the affected circuit, device and event history still need testing.

What is checked during Texecom maintenance?

Maintenance covers the event log, power supply, battery, zones, tampers, sounders, communicator and a practical set/unset test. Regular maintenance is appropriate for a reliable, compatible system. Modernisation becomes sensible when legacy expanders or keypads are no longer replaceable or remote management is a priority.

Why is regular alarm maintenance important?

Regular maintenance ensures your alarm system functions correctly, minimizing the risk of false alarms and ensuring maximum security. It also helps identify and resolve potential issues before they become serious.

What is included in an alarm service?

Checking power supplies and battery performance.

Testing all sensors, detectors, and remote fobs.

Inspecting the control panel and resetting any issues.

Providing a detailed Engineer Activity Report.

How often should I get my alarm system serviced?

It is recommended to have your alarm system serviced at least once a year to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

What happens if I don’t service my alarm system?

Without regular maintenance, your alarm system might become prone to faults, false alarms, or fail to function during an actual emergency, putting your security at risk.

Can I service my alarm system myself?

While basic checks like battery replacement can be done by users, professional servicing ensures that all components, including control units and sensors, are thoroughly checked and tested.

Does the alarm service include replacement parts?

Maintenance services include testing and inspecting components. Replacement parts or additional repairs may incur extra charges and are not included by default.

Do you offer a discount for paying in advance?

Yes! If you pay in advance, the first hour of service is only £100 instead of the standard rate of £120. Each additional hour is £75.

When will my appointment be confirmed?
