Systems and common faults

Maintenance checks the charger, battery, wired zones, tamper loop, external sounder and user operation, then records any part that may be difficult to replace.

We work with ADE Accenta, Optima, Logic Six and compatible wired alarm equipment. Typical call-outs include:

  • Ageing battery and charging problems
  • Intermittent tamper or zone circuits
  • Keypad, bell and false-alarm faults

Parts, apps and future support

Routine batteries, contacts and standard wired detectors remain obtainable. Original ADE control boards and keypads can be scarce, so maintenance includes an honest view of remaining serviceability.

ADE panels are primarily local systems and do not provide native app control; modern app features normally require a panel upgrade.

Repair or modernise?

A well-wired ADE system can continue to operate with preventative care, but repeated panel faults or unavailable keypads usually make replacement more economical.

ADE Maintenance FAQs

Which ADE panels do you work with?

We support ADE Accenta, Optima, Logic Six and compatible wired alarm equipment. Send a photo of the keypad or panel label if you are unsure which model is installed.

What do common ADE fault messages mean?

Messages can point to ageing battery and charging problems, intermittent tamper or zone circuits, keypad, bell and false-alarm faults. The displayed warning is a starting point; the affected circuit, device and event history still need testing.

What is checked during ADE maintenance?

Maintenance checks the charger, battery, wired zones, tamper loop, external sounder and user operation, then records any part that may be difficult to replace. A well-wired ADE system can continue to operate with preventative care, but repeated panel faults or unavailable keypads usually make replacement more economical.

Why is regular alarm maintenance important?

Regular maintenance ensures your alarm system functions correctly, minimizing the risk of false alarms and ensuring maximum security. It also helps identify and resolve potential issues before they become serious.

What is included in an alarm service?

Checking power supplies and battery performance.

Testing all sensors, detectors, and remote fobs.

Inspecting the control panel and resetting any issues.

Providing a detailed Engineer Activity Report.

How often should I get my alarm system serviced?

It is recommended to have your alarm system serviced at least once a year to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

What happens if I don’t service my alarm system?

Without regular maintenance, your alarm system might become prone to faults, false alarms, or fail to function during an actual emergency, putting your security at risk.

Can I service my alarm system myself?

While basic checks like battery replacement can be done by users, professional servicing ensures that all components, including control units and sensors, are thoroughly checked and tested.

Does the alarm service include replacement parts?

Maintenance services include testing and inspecting components. Replacement parts or additional repairs may incur extra charges and are not included by default.

Do you offer a discount for paying in advance?

Yes! If you pay in advance, the first hour of service is only £100 instead of the standard rate of £120. Each additional hour is £75.

When will my appointment be confirmed?

Your appointment date and time will be agreed with you after we receive your order. Placing an order or making a payment does not reserve a specific slot. For cash orders, payment is due at the visit.

What if we cannot agree a suitable appointment?

If we cannot agree a suitable appointment before the visit, we will refund any booking payment in full.
