Initial Fault Diagnosis
We investigate the issue affecting your alarm system using on-site testing and diagnostic tools.
System Inspection
We check the control panel, keypads, sirens, sensors, and wiring to locate faults.
Repair or Reset of Faulty Components
Where possible, we will repair minor issues or reset devices to restore system function.
Battery or Power Fault Check
If the issue is power-related, we will inspect the battery and mains supply.
Zone and Detector Testing (Related to Fault)
We will test only the zones or detectors related to the reported issue — not the entire system.
Alarm Silencing and Reset
If the alarm is stuck in a fault mode or keeps triggering, we will stop it and reset the system.
Service Summary / Repair Report
We’ll provide a summary of the work carried out and any recommendations for follow-up.
Replacement parts (e.g. batteries, sensors, control boards) are not included in the base price and will be charged separately.
Systems and common faults
Eaton fault diagnosis checks the event log, device supervision, radio quality, power and network status before resetting or replacing equipment.
We work with Eaton i-on, i-on Compact, i-on Style and compatible Cooper Security peripherals. Typical call-outs include:
- Device supervision and radio faults
- Battery, mains and external sounder warnings
- SecureConnect, network or communication problems
Parts, apps and future support
Current i-on devices and common wireless peripherals are normally obtainable. Older Cooper-branded keypads, expanders and communicators require model and firmware checks.
Compatible Eaton i-on systems may use SecureConnect for remote control and notifications when the required communicator and account are configured.

Repair makes sense for a healthy i-on panel with a localised device, battery or network fault. Upgrade is worth considering where older Cooper equipment limits expansion, signalling or replacement options.

What do common Eaton fault messages mean?
Messages can point to device supervision and radio faults, battery, mains and external sounder warnings, SecureConnect, network or communication problems. The displayed warning is a starting point; the affected circuit, device and event history still need testing.
Can an older Eaton alarm still be repaired?

Yes. If you do not have it, we may need to factory reset the system, which involves an extra charge.
How long does a typical repair visit take?
The advance payment covers the visit, diagnosis and up to one hour of repair work. Some faults require replacement parts or more time. Any additional work and costs will be agreed with you before proceeding.
What if my alarm can’t be repaired?
The booking payment covers the visit, diagnosis and time spent attempting the repair; it does not guarantee that the system can be repaired. If repair is not practical or economical, we will explain the findings and discuss replacement options.
Do you carry spare parts?
Yes, we carry common parts like batteries and door sensors. More complex parts may require a follow-up visit.
Can I book a same-day repair?
Call 020 8087 1921 to check availability before paying if you need urgent help. Same-day appointments depend on availability. Placing an order or making a payment does not reserve a specific slot. For cash orders, payment is due at the visit.
Do you repair systems that weren’t installed by you?
Yes, we specialise in repairs of discontinued or third-party systems – as long as they’re listed in our supported models.
When will my appointment be confirmed?
Your appointment date and time will be agreed with you after we receive your order. Placing an order or making a payment does not reserve a specific slot. For cash orders, payment is due at the visit.
What if we cannot agree a suitable appointment?
If we cannot agree a suitable appointment before the visit, we will refund any booking payment in full.
