Systems and common faults

A maintenance visit checks the event log, standby battery, radio supervision, detectors, sounders, signalling and user operation, with any remedial work quoted separately.

We work with Enforcer, Euro, PCX and legacy Matrix, Sterling and Paragon systems. Typical call-outs include:

  • Low-battery and mains-fail events
  • Wireless supervision or tamper warnings
  • App, communicator and external sounder faults

Parts, apps and future support

Consumable parts for current Enforcer and PCX systems are widely available. Availability for older Matrix, Sterling and Paragon equipment varies, so we identify the exact panel and device version before advising.

Where supported, we can check the PyronixCloud connection and HomeControl2.0 communication as part of system maintenance.

Repair or modernise?

Ongoing maintenance is sensible when the system is dependable and replacement devices remain compatible. An upgrade may be more economical if several legacy components are failing or remote control and modern signalling are needed.

Pyronix Maintenance FAQs

Which Pyronix panels do you work with?

We support Enforcer, Euro, PCX and legacy Matrix, Sterling and Paragon systems. Send a photo of the keypad or panel label if you are unsure which model is installed.

What do common Pyronix fault messages mean?

Messages can point to low-battery and mains-fail events, wireless supervision or tamper warnings, app, communicator and external sounder faults. The displayed warning is a starting point; the affected circuit, device and event history still need testing.

What is checked during Pyronix maintenance?

A maintenance visit checks the event log, standby battery, radio supervision, detectors, sounders, signalling and user operation, with any remedial work quoted separately. Ongoing maintenance is sensible when the system is dependable and replacement devices remain compatible. An upgrade may be more economical if several legacy components are failing or remote control and modern signalling are needed.

Why is regular alarm maintenance important?

Regular maintenance ensures your alarm system functions correctly, minimizing the risk of false alarms and ensuring maximum security. It also helps identify and resolve potential issues before they become serious.

What is included in an alarm service?

Checking power supplies and battery performance.

Testing all sensors, detectors, and remote fobs.

Inspecting the control panel and resetting any issues.

Providing a detailed Engineer Activity Report.

How often should I get my alarm system serviced?

It is recommended to have your alarm system serviced at least once a year to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

What happens if I don’t service my alarm system?

Without regular maintenance, your alarm system might become prone to faults, false alarms, or fail to function during an actual emergency, putting your security at risk.

Can I service my alarm system myself?

While basic checks like battery replacement can be done by users, professional servicing ensures that all components, including control units and sensors, are thoroughly checked and tested.

Does the alarm service include replacement parts?

Maintenance services include testing and inspecting components. Replacement parts or additional repairs may incur extra charges and are not included by default.

Do you offer a discount for paying in advance?

Yes! If you pay in advance, the first hour of service is only £100 instead of the standard rate of £120. Each additional hour is £75.

When will my appointment be confirmed?

Your appointment date and time will be agreed with you after we receive your order. Placing an order or making a payment does not reserve a specific slot. For cash orders, payment is due at the visit.

What if we cannot agree a suitable appointment?

If we cannot agree a suitable appointment before the visit, we will refund any booking payment in full.
