Menvier maintenance: models and checks

TS-series panels including TS400, TS500, TS690 and TS700.

Menvier maintenance reviews circuit descriptions and recorded events where available, then tests power supplies, standby batteries, detectors, tampers and sounders. Full and part-setting checks are matched to the configured TS panel and the property’s use.

Parts and compatibility

Dedicated TS keypads, control boards and expansion components must match the installed system. We check the reference and availability first; the current Eaton name alone does not establish compatibility with older Menvier equipment.

Repair or modernise?

A stable TS system with serviceable wiring can be assessed for continued use. If dedicated control components are unavailable or multiple faults recur, compare the repair cost with a planned control-panel replacement.

Menvier Maintenance FAQs

Why is my Menvier keypad showing a circuit number?

The circuit reference helps locate the affected detector or wiring. Send the full message and any circuit list so the engineer can identify what needs testing.

Will a current Eaton keypad fit my TS-series panel?

Not automatically. The original TS panel, keypad type and any expansion hardware must be identified before compatibility can be confirmed.

Can you check part-setting during maintenance?

Yes. Explain which areas you use at night or while occupied. We review the existing configuration and test its behaviour; changes are agreed before implementation.

Why is regular alarm maintenance important?

Regular maintenance ensures your alarm system functions correctly, minimizing the risk of false alarms and ensuring maximum security. It also helps identify and resolve potential issues before they become serious.

What is included in an alarm service?

Checking power supplies and battery performance.

Testing all sensors, detectors, and remote fobs.

Inspecting the control panel and resetting any issues.

Providing a detailed Engineer Activity Report.

How often should I get my alarm system serviced?

It is recommended to have your alarm system serviced at least once a year to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

What happens if I don’t service my alarm system?

Without regular maintenance, your alarm system might become prone to faults, false alarms, or fail to function during an actual emergency, putting your security at risk.

Can I service my alarm system myself?

While basic checks like battery replacement can be done by users, professional servicing ensures that all components, including control units and sensors, are thoroughly checked and tested.

Does the alarm service include replacement parts?

Maintenance services include testing and inspecting components. Replacement parts or additional repairs may incur extra charges and are not included by default.

Do you offer a discount for paying in advance?

Yes! If you pay in advance, the first hour of service is only £100 instead of the standard rate of £120. Each additional hour is £75.

When will my appointment be confirmed?

Your appointment date and time will be agreed with you after we receive your order. Placing an order or making a payment does not reserve a specific slot. For cash orders, payment is due at the visit.

What if we cannot agree a suitable appointment?

If we cannot agree a suitable appointment before the visit, we will refund any booking payment in full.
