Systems and common faults

Maintenance reviews the event history, power supplies, standby batteries, data-bus modules, zones, tampers, sounders and communication path.

We work with Galaxy Dimension, Galaxy Flex, Galaxy G2 and compatible wired or wireless peripherals. Typical call-outs include:

  • Recurring battery or PSU events
  • Module and RF portal supervision faults
  • Signalling, keypad or zone communication warnings

Parts, apps and future support

Support is generally strongest for Galaxy Flex and Dimension equipment. Older G2 parts can be model-specific, so maintenance records the installed versions before remedial work is quoted.

App and cloud options vary by panel, firmware and signalling provider; we can confirm what the existing Galaxy system can support.

Repair or modernise?

A stable Galaxy system can remain in service with regular testing. A phased upgrade is worth considering when expansion modules, communications or replacement keypads are becoming difficult to support.

Honeywell Maintenance FAQs

Which Honeywell Galaxy panels do you work with?

We support Galaxy Dimension, Galaxy Flex, Galaxy G2 and compatible wired or wireless peripherals. Send a photo of the keypad or panel label if you are unsure which model is installed.

What do common Honeywell Galaxy fault messages mean?

Messages can point to recurring battery or PSU events, module and RF portal supervision faults, signalling, keypad or zone communication warnings. The displayed warning is a starting point; the affected circuit, device and event history still need testing.

What is checked during Honeywell Galaxy maintenance?

Maintenance reviews the event history, power supplies, standby batteries, data-bus modules, zones, tampers, sounders and communication path. A stable Galaxy system can remain in service with regular testing. A phased upgrade is worth considering when expansion modules, communications or replacement keypads are becoming difficult to support.

Why is regular alarm maintenance important?

Regular maintenance ensures your alarm system functions correctly, minimizing the risk of false alarms and ensuring maximum security. It also helps identify and resolve potential issues before they become serious.

What is included in an alarm service?

Checking power supplies and battery performance.

Testing all sensors, detectors, and remote fobs.

Inspecting the control panel and resetting any issues.

Providing a detailed Engineer Activity Report.

How often should I get my alarm system serviced?

It is recommended to have your alarm system serviced at least once a year to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

What happens if I don’t service my alarm system?

Without regular maintenance, your alarm system might become prone to faults, false alarms, or fail to function during an actual emergency, putting your security at risk.

Can I service my alarm system myself?

While basic checks like battery replacement can be done by users, professional servicing ensures that all components, including control units and sensors, are thoroughly checked and tested.

Does the alarm service include replacement parts?

Maintenance services include testing and inspecting components. Replacement parts or additional repairs may incur extra charges and are not included by default.

Do you offer a discount for paying in advance?

Yes! If you pay in advance, the first hour of service is only £100 instead of the standard rate of £120. Each additional hour is £75.

When will my appointment be confirmed?

Your appointment date and time will be agreed with you after we receive your order. Placing an order or making a payment does not reserve a specific slot. For cash orders, payment is due at the visit.
